Chalkboards, McIntosh apple centrepieces, and encyclopedias fill this Liberty Village spot, opened by chef Brad Moore (formerly of Xacutti and Eleven) in early December 2008. A school bell rings at 3:30 p.m. every day to announce “Detention,” which is when the restaurant begins to serve cocktails with names like Hot for Teacher and Straight A’s. The restaurant seats 65 and holds 150 for receptions. Two outdoor patios seat 30 and 80 people in warmer months.
