Chris Smith and Benihana owner Rocky Aoki will open a sushi bar called Haru at Park and 48th Street the second week of June. Look for a forty-foot long sushi bar and tanks of robotic fish.
Jon Bloostein's third Heartland Brewery outpost, Heartland Brewery & Chophouse, will open June 15. Designed as a traditional American brew-pub, the venue includes 21 giant copper and steel brewing tanks and a collection of pre-Prohibition bar memorabilia. The venue will seat 300 guests or hold 600 for a reception.
