Video Screens Trick Out DJ Booth at 'Rolling Stone' Bash

To give the façade of the DJ booth a dynamic, interchanging look, producers placed three seamless LCD screens that displayed a loop of sponsor images as well as videos created for DJ duo Nervo (pictured) and Tiësto.

Just as the nor'easter was peppering New York with some unexpected snow last week, Rolling Stone was toasting the hottest DJs featured in its November 22 issue with an event at Tao. And with these music-spinning entertainers firmly center stage—literally and figuratively—the November 7 party made the DJ booth the focal point, positioned directly in front of the restaurant's towering 16-foot-tall Buddha statue.

Produced by Toast—which also managed the music magazine's “Rock Weekend” for this year's Super Bowl in Indianapolis—the crowded bash had Tiësto, who took the number one spot on the list, perform from a platform equipped with three 42-inch seamless LCD screens that showed a loop of the event's sponsors as well as custom videos. Sponsor CoverGirl was integrated into the setup as well: The brand's new ambassadors, sister DJs Mim and Liv Nervo, also spun from the booth as the brand's Twitter feed splashed across video screens that flanked the stage.

As a nod to the relief efforts being made in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, proceeds from the event were donated to the Red Cross.
