BET Networks is taking over its hometown of Washington this Saturday with the BET Honors, a show aimed at celebrating “black achievement in business, entertainment, social justice, and philanthropy.” But before the ceremony begins at the historic Warner Theater, event planner André Wells is putting together a V.I.P. dinner at the Halcyon House in Georgetown tomorrow, hosted by BET C.E.O. Debra Lee and attracting guests such as Vivica Fox and LL Cool J. BET honorees, including Princeton University’s Dr. Cornel West, Time Warner chairman Richard Parsons, singer Alicia Keys, and supermodel-turned-TV mogul Tyra Banks, will also be in attendance.

The ceremony itself (which will premiere on BET on February 22) will feature performances by John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and Erykah Badu, among others. The after-party at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is running with a purple-hued royal theme, according to Wells, accented by a Caribbean menu. Vendors working on the event include Frost Lighting, Volanni for flowers, and A Vista for decor. Local DJ Sixth Sense is covering the music, and a V.I.P. lounge will be set up in the atrium's oculus.

Correction: The original version of this story included Windows Catering among the vendors for the after-party. Windows catered the pre-party for the award ceremony; the in-house catering team at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center handled the after-party.
