OVERVIEW
This downtown mainstay closed in 2007 for a full-scale renovation to the 84-year-old Beaux-Arts-inspired building. The upscale hotel will bring back one of the buildings original features, uncovering the lobby skylight so the barrel-vaulted ceiling can reflect light into the lobby. All 100 guest rooms and the six event spaces are being renovated, with the reopening slated for fall 2009.
