OVERVIEW
Part of the original circle of forts that once defended the nation’s capital, Fort Reno is perched on Washington’s highest point, at 429 feet above sea level. The castle-like fort is now surrounded by soccer fields, a dog park, and a picnic area. The large grassy lawn hosts rock concerts on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the summer; the simple wooden stage can be used for events on other days.
