OVERVIEW
The 184.5-mile Chesapeake and Ohio Canal begins in Georgetown, and it’s here that you can relive the 19th century with a historical boat ride through the national park. The boats are pulled by mules, as they were when the canal first opened, and rides take place Wednesday through Sunday, April through October. Groups can book a private sail for as many as 75.
