If you've ever walked through a stunning event and wondered, “Where did they come up with this?” we've got one recently popular answer: on vacation. Floralia's Carter Field told us he came up with the Pucci-inspired look for the Sex and the City season premiere party while he was on the beach in Jamaica. And Avi Adler confessed to us that he found inspiration during a trip to Holland, where he was driving past fields of trees planted in perfectly arranged grids. The result was an atmosphere that looked nothing like any other benefit this year--the surreal forests of green poles that decorated the cocktail area of the Robin Hood Foundation's annual gala. As summer starts, it might be the perfect time to take a tip from these creative designers...it's a great excuse for a vacation.
