TORONTO Here are two new companies that offer on-site spa services ranging from massages to manicures and makeup touch-ups.
1. After seven years in D.C., twin sisters Joanne and Juanita Wright have launched a Toronto division of Wright Spa Mobile Beauty Services. The pair can recreate a spa setting in a conference room by setting up massage tables, aromatic candles, petals, and music. The company—which employs estheticians, massage therapists, manicurists, hair stylists, and makeup artists—uses new wraps, robes, and slippers for every client as well as disposable manicure and pedicure equipment. The sisters also use all-natural products (sugar scrubs, body balms, and massage oils) and can customize scents for themed events. Pricing for manicure and pedicure packages start at $50 per person, with a six-person minimum. For on-site corporate massages, the company charges $190 per hour and requires a minimum three-hour booking.
2. Inspire Cosmetics, a new makeup line developed by Ford model and makeup artist Wendy Crystal and business partner Tanya Andrade, can design workshops for corporate groups where attendees learn skin care tips and tricks for applying makeup. Crystal can also provide makeup touch-ups at client and staff appreciation events. Attendees receive makeovers and a complimentary lip gloss. Rates start at $50 per hour for a group of five people; a minimum three-hour booking is required. For larger groups, fees are based on a rate of $20 per person.
