All About Oscar's New Home

December 12, 2001, 12:00 AM EST

After zig-zagging between the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Los Angeles Music Center and the Shrine Auditorium at University of Southern California, Oscar will finally have a home to call his own. The $95 million Kodak Theater, located in the heart of Hollywood and designed by none other than New York restaurant design fave David Rockwell, will make its debut on Oscar night 2002. According to Talk magazine, the 3,300-seat venue will boast state-of-the-art security, a secret tunnel below the stage for technical equipment and “red carpet-shy divas,” and 24 V.I.P. boxes. “It's my secret hope that one will be reserved for the architects of this project,” Rockwell confesses.
