NEW YORK Columbia Picture's Bad Teacher premiere headed to the Ziegfeld on Monday evening, and the 130-foot step-and-repeat got some playful, on-theme decor in the form of wooden desks and red apples from 15/40 Productions. The celebrities mugging for the cameras eventually used the items as impromptu props, with many sitting in the desks and taking faux bites out of the apples.
Some 1,100 guests attended the screening—including the film's stars Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, and Jason Segal—but only a whittled-down list of 600 were privy to the after-party at the Bowery Hotel. Produced by Chris Benarroch, the event was also inspired by the film, with apples and dollar bills adorning the red rose arrangements from Ron Wendt, and middle-school-appropriate books like To Kill a Mockingbird topping the V.I.P. tables.
