How Alexa and Siri Have Changed How We Need To Communicate with Attendees

Chuck Elias, C.E.O. and Co-Founder, Eventbots by Sciensio

Virtual assistants like Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home have changed the way we consume and process information. Rather than reading the entirety of an email or diving deep into a website for research, we are often likely to ask a question and have these tech tools tell us the answer. In this session, Chuck Elias of Eventbots by Sciensio will explore how easy-to-use and intuitive technologies are transforming the event landscape. Elias will share the evolution of technology, the new customer service, alternative ways to communicate with and engage attendees, and the future of the industry.

Being an event professional is the fifth most stressful job in America, according to a 2018 study by CareerCast. In the fast-paced world of all-nighters, crazy clients, and last-minute changes, it is nearly impossible to have a stable work-life balance. Mental health is a trending, and sensitive, subject in our industry and across North America, but it is an extremely important topic to address in our everyday lives. Listen as moderator Danny Fisk, 2018-2019 President of ILEA Los Angeles, sits down with panelists Cindy Celis of Edge Design and Decor and Lee Dyson of Hey Mister DJ to uncover the secret to succeeding in your career without burning out. Sharing their personal stories, the panel will discuss strategies to stay organized, the importance of stepping back and taking a breath, and more, including a surprise at the ILEA booth to interact with a special stress reliever that will sure be the “woof” of the city!
