An installation called "Pulse" from the toy company Mega Blok showed the volume and type of tweets for each hour of the conference. Blue represented Twitter, the most-used social platform.

The top concepts mentioned on social platforms were "business" and "creativity," which showed that the main message behind the event resonated with attendees.

Social traffic spiked Thursday morning when director James Cameron and Cirque du Soleil announced an Avatar live-touring show. Cirque's Twitter handle and the hashtag #Avatar immediately started trending.
The most talked-about speaker was Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize winner who pioneered the concepts of microcredit and microfinance.

Jonathan Becher, chief marketing officer of SAP, was one of the top social interacters at the event. Becher began his talk by tweeting: "On stage at #C2MTL. Looking forward to connecting with crowd. RT if you’re watching & will follow you afterwards."
Cindy Gallop, founder of the site Make Love Not Porn, gave a popular talk that included some graphic and racy aspects. But the tweets about it focused instead on business concepts.
Outdoors, attendees were encouraged to snap photos in a red frame that was part of the citywide tourism promotion surrounding the hashtag #MTLMoments.
