Carnival Undergoes Change at the Helm

Carnival Cruise Lines C.E.O. Bob Dickinson, the outspoken but much-liked marketing wizard who has played a massive role in shaping the modern cruise industry throughout the past 35 years, has announced that he will be retiring at year's end. Until then, he will continue as a director of the cruise lines' parent firm Carnival Corp. Aiming to increase the number of first-time cruisers, Carnival Corp.'s chief financial officer since 2003, Gerald Cahill, assumed the role of president and C.E.O. on July 9.
