Tent Poll: Who Had the Best Invite?

It’s always nice to be asked. It’s especially nice to be asked nicely. Below were some of the standout invites according to our informal tent-side poll.

“The Heatherette invite was pretty cool—it’s a pair of 3D glasses. I think we were supposed to bring them to the show.”
—Cueatrice Scott, personal shopper
“The Betsey Johnson invitation had a real glove attached to a glove-shaped paper cut-out, which was the actual invitation. It would have been nice to get a whole pair of gloves, though!”
—Maria Concepcion, senior accessories editor, Life & Style

“The invitation for the Ports 1961 show is made of layers of neutral, feltlike fabric."
—Sara Glassman, fashion reporter, Star Tribune

“The invites for the Nanette Lapore show had feathers attached to them, which was cute. Abaete … did acrylic invitations, they were almost clear. Those were neat-looking.”
—Rhonda Erb, editor, Look Online

“Michael Kors did a very simple yet elegant invitation. It was sand-colored with simple white lettering. Along with the invitation was a little folder that contained descriptions of the collection.”
—Ana Urien, attorney
