Tomorrow night, the Georgetown Business Improvement District hosts its annual celebration at the Halcyon House. On the agenda: an unveiling of the new Georgetown BID Web site. "It's a reminder to the local community that Georgetown is growing and a reminder to domestic and international travelers that it's a great destination within a destination," Georgetown BID senior marketing manager Julie Weber told us yesterday.

Some 400 guests are expected to attend the event, which will feature food stations from Georgetown-based Clyde's Restaurant Group and 1789 Restaurant, and music from the Blues Alley All-Stars. Georgetown BID is also announcing plans for the neighborhood's new holiday decor ("This year we're taking it to the next level," says Weber) and future events still in development, including a spring 2009 fashion show, planned for a undetermined site on the waterfront.
