An Orange County venue marketing alliance known as the OCeanfront added two properties to its collection earlier this month. Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and the forthcoming Resort at Pelican Hill joined 10 other coastal hotels and resorts in the partnership, which includes venues along the 42-mile stretch from Huntington Beach to Dana Point.

Slated to open this fall on a 504-acre site in Newport Beach, Pelican Hill will feature 128 villas and 204 bungalows. The property will have a total of 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including three meeting rooms and two boardrooms, and the flexible 4,560-square-foot Pacific Ballroom will accommodate 400 for receptions.A 23,000-square-foot spa will include 22 private treatment rooms, and the golf club, with 36 holes designed by Tom Fazio, reopened in November 2007 after undergoing a refurbishment. Accompanying restaurant Pelican Grill also opened last fall and features an alfresco terrace with ocean views.
