Volos opened in July in the financial district, transforming what was once the casual Mediterra into a high-end Greek restaurant. Available for buyout and private events, the downtown venue comes with a private dining room, a communal table, and a customizable menu.
Designed by Marc Kyriacou (whose recent projects include the Spoke Club and Neubacher Shor Contemporary Gallery), the 3,000-square-foot dining room is filled with natural light and can accommodate 100 guests seated or 130 standing. A long, communal table—dubbed the celebration table—seats 12 under a chandelier of glass fishing floats. Glass doors separate the 400-square-foot private dining room, which can seat 36.
The menu features Greek fare with a Canadian twist and is customizable for private events. Volos also offers a tasting menu with wine pairings for larger groups.
