More than 400 fashion and beauty types turned up at Dennis Riese's Martini's restaurant to honor Leslie Fay chief John Pomerantz and his daughter, Andrea Pomerantz Lustig, editor in chief of, at the 17th annual New York fashion and beauty industries' salute to Citymeals-on-Wheels.

Riese's event guru Joe De Nardo has worked with Citymeals' benefit chair Ruth Finley to host the event at Martini's for the past seven years. This event raised more than $329,000 for Citymeals' work funding food programs for homebound elderly New Yorkers.

Citymeals-on-Wheels holds more than eight of this type of event annually, targeting different interest groups such as cable television employees, lawyers, real estate folks, “foodies” and young professionals. The events accomplish fund-raising, community building and awareness of the plight of the homebound elderly while still showing guests a good time.
