Avant garde British fashion glossy Dazed & Confused took over the upstairs party space at Fressen for a party to launch Star Culture, the mag's new book of celebrity interviews. D&C filled the mostly barren loft space with models and other young fashion folks (“Weren't you in Wallpaper or something?” we kept thinking) taking a break from the 7th on Sixth tents.

Despite a lengthy wait at the Courvoisier-sponsored bar, guests--including Billy Zane and Milla Jovovich--got fairly raucous, dancing to tunes from DJ Mark Ronson, and later from DJ Cassidy. There were no tables to drop empty glasses in the minimalist space, so most guests just put them on the floor, leaving lots of broken glass scattered on the floor by the end of the party.

To promote the book, D&C brought in light boxes showing giant blowups of photographs from the magazine, plus two scanners running quotes from the book. After a few hours, guests slogged off to nearby Lotus, where former Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell served as DJ at an after party.
