NEW YORK Day four in the tents for Fashion Week brought in a couple of surprises—Diesel Black Gold put on a light-driven show with a backdrop of moving images reflected on the shiny surface of the runway. Later in the evening, Ports 1961 packed the Promenade section of the tent for a show that featured country rock music performed live by the Cowboy Junkies. The Lynne O'Neill-produced show also gave each guest a little knitting kit as a gift.
Over at the 69th Regiment Armory, KCD produced the late-night presentation for Marc Jacobs. Almost dizzying in its effect, the sloped wooden runway was filled with three sets of floating mirrors, the back wall was covered by a curved mirror, and more mirrors bedecked the walls where the models entered. A series of bare overhead bulbs lit the platform, and guests sat atop bleachers.
