Fashion Week Takes Over New York

Bryant Park may have hosted the tents for the 7th on Sixth fashion shows, but the fashion bonanza took over the whole city. Many designers showed outside the park during Fashion Week, in locations including Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central (Kenneth Cole), Roseland Ballroom (Tse New York), the Four Seasons Restaurant (Ralph Lauren) and Bryant Park Grill (Joseph Abboud). New label Imitation of Christ showed at the Peter Jarema Funeral Home in the East Village.

And then there were the parties. After Marc Jacobs' show at the Passannante Ballfield, he opened his new Greenwich Village store with a party at nearby Paris Commune and Magnolia Bakery. E.A.T. catered Michael Kors' store opening and hosted a small post-party dinner.

Anand Jon took guests aboard the World Yacht's “Princess.” Jean-Paul Goude created an elaborate spectacle for the Herm?s store opening with an outdoor catwalk, giant Herm?s boxes and ballerinas. Tommy Hilfiger held a party at Eugene. Probably the weirdest: Hugo Boss' showroom party included a midget dressed as Marilyn Monroe.
