For the American Museum of Natural History's Wonders of the Far East Winter Dance, staff members from the museum and Glamour magazine (the event's sponsor), put together a benefit with lots of kitschy Asian-influenced decor. Props for Today custom-built two bamboo and wicker sake bars that were placed inside the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Hall.

Inside the museum's Hall of Ocean Life, Meredith Perez of Belle Fleur festooned the dining area with an array of Asian-inspired tchotchkes and party favors, including paper parasols, porcelain statues and Chinese exercise balls. Giant dragon puppets lined the staircase railing where guests entered the hall, and Perez decorated the tables with shimmering Chinese brocade tablecloths with towering cherry blossom centerpieces, accompanied by vases full of dendrobium orchids and wheatgrass.
