CANADA: Holiday Events in Toronto, COVID-19 Testing at the Vancouver Airport, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition and More

CALGARY: World Cup alpine skiing will return to Lake Louise this year after being postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. The men's downhill competition will be held Nov. 26-27, followed by women's downhill on Dec. 3-4. Men's super-G will take place Nov. 28, with the women's event on Dec. 5.

TORONTO: Casa Loma’s Christmas at the Castle and Holiday Light Tour programs will run from Nov. 25 to Dec. 30. The all-day, indoor and outdoor attractions have highlights including a 40-foot Christmas tree, a Santa’s workshop display, illuminated gardens and more. Tickets start at $30.

Located at Nathan Philips Square, Toronto's Cavalcade of Lights is returning to the city next month. Unlike previous years, the event won’t include fireworks, and the activities will be reimagined to encourage social distancing. The exact date of the event has not yet been announced, but the City of Toronto plans to release more details on Nov. 23.

VANCOUVER: The Fairmont Vancouver Airport hotel has launched an on-site, rapid COVID-19 testing facility in partnership with Bon Voyage Medical. A variety of testing options are available, ranging from rapid viral antigen to RT-PCR and other NAAT tests.

"Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition" is coming to Vancouver on Nov. 19 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The exhibition showcases recreations of the 34 frescoes from the Vatican ceiling—including The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement—for guests to explore. Tickets start at $12.60.
