Looking for a new venue for your next event? Here are the most anticipated San Francisco nightclubs, corporate event venues, hotels, concert venues, and restaurants slated to open in 2019. These new and renovated Bay Area venues will accommodate groups large or small for private and corporate events, conferences, meetings, weddings, business dinners, teambuilding activities, cocktail parties, and more.

1. Virgin Hotels' long-awaited San Francisco property will open later this month in the South of Market neighborhood. The 192-room boutique hotel will offer multiple spaces for private events. At 2,124 square feet, the Manor will seat 208 guests, while the colorful, 1,898-square-foot Terrace Lounge seats 132 and the 12th-floor rooftop lounge includes two private lounges with sweeping city views. Chef Adrian Garcia will head up Commons Club, the hotel's glamorous restaurant.

2. Viceroy Hotel Group's new 96-room boutique hotel will open in early 2019 in the location formerly occupied by Hotel Rex near Union Square and Nob Hill. The Hotel Emblem's design is inspired by the Beat Generation, with a poetry projection wall, a writer’s alcove filled with books, and mid-century modern furniture. Visitors will be able to dine at Hotel Emblem's coffee shop and cafe and grab a cocktail from the hotel's lounge.

3. The sleek and futuristic Yotel is slated to open its first West Coast hotel in San Francisco in March. Located at 1095 Market Street, Yotel's rooms include smart TVs and mood lighting. The hotel will include a rooftop terrace and a restaurant and bar, with a menu from Alta Group and Michelin-starred chef Daniel Patterson.

4. Sonoma’s MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa will unveil three new venues at the luxury property in 2019. There's the Mediterranean restaurant Layla with a bright and airy look; the Bar at MacArthur with oak floors and wooden beams; and a coffee bar and marketplace named the Porch. Executive chef Cole Dickinson (formerly of Acacia House at the Las Alcobas Resort in Napa Valley) will be leading the food and beverage program for MacArthur Place, with Geoffrey Zakarian’s Zakarian Hospitality helping with F&B concepts.

5. Chef Thomas Keller of French Laundry fame will open a new restaurant called La Calenda devoted to Oaxacan cuisine in Yountville. Few details are available, but the restaurant is anticipated to open at 6518 Washington Street in the former location of Hurley's.

6. SoMa's W San Francisco is refreshing its more than 400 guest rooms in 2019. Skylab Architecture is drawing inspiration from the city's Gold Rush era with accents like gold flakes in gray bathroom tile. The carpets will be an abstract version of the San Francisco city grid, while pillows and graphics will channel popular music icons and landmarks from the 1970s.

7. Grand Hyatt at SFO is slated to open in summer 2019 on a 4.2-acre site near the entrance to San Francisco International Airport. The 351-room hotel is being built to achieve LEED Gold certification. Travelers will find a fitness center, restaurant, and bar, in addition to 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

8. James Beard award-winning chef and author Kenji Lopez-Alt will open a second location of his beer-and-brat restaurant Wursthall, this time in San Jose. The new beer hall is headed to San Jose's Santana Row in 2019. Expect local and European beers and creative German fare on the menu like culinary mashups such as spaetzle “cacio e pepe,” vegan döner kebab, and al pastor bratwurst.

9. Crave BBQ is slated to open in 2019 in the revitalized, historic California Hotel in West Oakland, which once hosted performances from Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday. The restaurant from chef Rashad Armstead will include a blues stage and will serve barbecue favorites like briskets, pulled pork, and ribs with sides like cornbread and macaroni and cheese.

10. Celebrity chef Michael Mina will open a restaurant in Marin County, slated to be unveiled in late summer. The Mina Group will take over a waterfront space once occupied by Mexican restaurant Guaymas. The yet-unnamed project in downtown Tiburon will feature a sage-colored farmhouse-style exterior.
