On October 3, the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago hosted its annual Columbian Ball. To celebrate the museum's current exhibition, Robot Revolution, the evening featured entertainment inspired by robots. For instance, as guests had appetizers and cocktails, a so-called "double robot"— comprising an iPad and a kickstand—made its way through the crowd. The robot, which is part of the exhibition, was activated by a museum staffer who was in another area of the vast museum. Using the device, the staffer was able to virtually mingle with guests over drinks.
