If your company is still going ahead with holiday festivities, time’s running out to make arrangements. With smaller gatherings or in-office celebrations in mind, here are some resources for a recession-proof—but fun—party.

1. Treats Truck and Calexico Carne Asada have partnered up to cater Mexican food and baked goods for holiday parties. Menu items from Calexico include chipotle pulled pork and grilled steak tacos as well as passed hors d’oeuvres. Treats Truck can provide cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and other homemade sweets. Pricing starts around $1,500.

2. Slice Catering is offering bite-sized organic pizzas, salads, hummus and bruschetta platters, and vegan cookie and brownie bites for $10 a head. For an extra $25 per person, you can hire a Slice Staffette server. A week’s notice is ideal; last-minute bookings may result in a small rush fee.

3. Death & Company Cocktails is still available to cater old-fashioned drinks. Pricing starts at $25 per person with a minimum of 30 people.

4. To keep everyone entertained, Amusitronix is offering a four-hour gaming package that includes Rock Band, Dance Dance Revolution, American Idol Karaoke, tri-hockey, foosball, and pop-a-shot basketball plus two on-site attendants for $2,995. The package is available in the tristate area.

5. Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffee and Smoothies can provide hot chocolate and espresso drinks. Two hours of service for 100 guests costs $700, and the company is offering 20 percent off through the end of December.

6. For take-home treats, Little Italy candy shop PapaBubble can fill favor-sized bags with their holiday-themed sweets for $5 each. Orders over 100 bags require at least three days' notice.
