Rice & Company opened at Luxor Las Vegas on July 22. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant, sushi bar, and lounge offer contemporary Chinese and Japanese cuisine, an array of sushi and sashimi selections, specialty cocktails, and an expansive sake menu.
There's room for 152 in the main dining room, and three private rooms hold 10, 30, and 40 guests. The sushi bar holds 13, the bar 18, and the lounge 42. The look is clean and modern, with Asian-inspired decor done in muted earth tones with pops of bright color.
Dishes include lobster shumai made from fresh lobster, crawfish, and caviar, infused with wasabi, basil, and onion in a Thai chili sauce; Cajun white tuna with white mango salsa, seared and topped with mango, mint leaf, lime juice, and black sesame; and specialty rolls like the “Kiss of Fire,” made from spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, white tuna, jalapeño, and caviar, from executive sushi chef Danny Chen.
The venue is on Luxor’s second level at the entry to the Shoppes at Mandalay Place.
