Bacardi recently introduced Rubi Rey, the world's only slow-filtered, single-barrel finished white rum, to South Florida-one of only three markets where it's currently available. With a name that means "ruby king" in Spanish, the rum is mellowed in white oak barrels for two to three years before being meticulously blended and slow-filtered in a special filtration process for clarity. Its elegant, ruby-colored bottle is a distinct departure from ordinary rum packaging that was designed to create a cutting-edge look that speaks to the quality of the liquid inside, according to company reps. Rubi Rey is available in restaurants, clubs, and wine and spirit stores across South Florida, as well as in Chicago and Denver.
