As for Ford Championship Weekend approaches, multiple events have taken place already around South Florida, beginning on November 7 with the Pineapple Charity Gala and followed by the Juan Pablo Montoya BeLive Formula Smiles event at Jungle Island on November 11, to name two. And as the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series drivers-one of the weekend's three racing circuits-hit the track at Homestead-Miami Speedway to practice on Thursday afternoon, race fans flocked to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood for the eighth annual Ford RaceFest.

"Ford RaceFest provides fans with the unique opportunity to mingle with the best drivers in the world, for free, just days before they battle it out at Homestead Miami Speedway," said raceway president Curtis Gray. "The Hard Rock is a South Florida entertainment institution, and I can't think of a better way to kick-start Ford Championship Weekend."

Throughout the property, more than 5,000 fans and affiliates enjoyed live entertainment, autographs, and Q&A sessions with drivers, photo ops with the Sprint Cup Trophy and show cars, and the chance to test their driving skills in one of the virtual simulators on hand.

Additionally, inside the property's Spirits Nightclub, select members of the media and V.I.P.s were treated to hors d'oeuvres and cocktails compliments of the hotel's catering department.
