Atlas Party Rental Inc. converted its Boynton Beach warehouse and parking lot into two large event spaces for its 25th anniversary party Tuesday night. Nearly 250 of the company’s clients, friends, and family members—president Randee Wechsler inherited the business from her parents, Sam and Beatrice Horowitz, in 1999—attended the event.

To coordinate the affair, Wechsler contracted the services of 28 south Florida vendors, including Frost Lighting, Tents 'N Events, Daniel Events, and 14 caterers to help turn Atlas’s 20,000-square-foot warehouse and office into a party venue. Atlas divided the indoor space and tented parking lot into themed event areas, each decorated in a different color from the company’s rental collection and complete with food stations and roving entertainers from Top Hat Entertainment.

In addition to celebrating the anniversary, Wechsler utilized the event as an opportunity to showcase the company’s inventory. “‘Wow, we didn’t know you had that’ was the reaction we got from most people,” said Wechsler, adding she received one order on site and by yesterday morning had nearly 20 verbal commitments for future business.

The night cost an estimated $75,000, though the rental company only spent $10,000 as a result of vendors donating services for an opportunity to showcase their companies to Atlas’s clients.
