Bargain: OK, so there’s no room service and you have to stock your own mini fridge by shopping in the hotel’s kiosks—but Andre Balazs’ new 140-room, hostel-inspired property, Hotel QT, sports a modern look by Lindy Roy and has room rates that range from $125 to $285—and its Midtown location makes it convenient as well.
Mid-Price: Rising 21 stories over the Lower East Side, the Hotel on Rivington has a funky entryway and 110 rooms. Rates range from $235 to $285 for the building’s lower floors, while upper floors—some with better views and special tubs—cost between $285 to $425.
Splurge: The meatpacking district hasn’t lost its appeal yet—the chic Hotel Gansevoort has 187 rooms and prices start at $395. The hotel’s standard rooms have 250 square feet of space, deluxe rooms are slightly larger, and grand deluxe rooms boast river views.
