Held April 17, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hot Pink Party once again took over New York's Waldorf-Astoria, bringing some 1,100 fashion icons, celebrities, and other donors to the storied space for a lively dinner and performance. This year the benefit, which raised more than $5.2 million, took on the theme "¡Viva Fiesta!," incorporating Evelyn Lauder's appreciation for Hispanic culture.
"B.C.R.F.’s late founder, Evelyn Lauder, loved to fiesta and she loved everything ‘fiesta-like’—mariachi bands, piñatas, bold, vibrant colors—you name it, she loved it! But, when considering the cause and why the theme resonates so well with B.C.R.F.’s efforts to raise critical funds for lifesaving research, what’s better than a fiesta in celebration of the many critical achievements B.C.R.F.-funded scientists have achieved?" said a spokesperson from the foundation.
Here's a look inside the big fund-raiser, with ideas for Cinco de Mayo or other Latin-theme events.
