The nation?s capital is the fifth largest event market in the United States* (spending $9 million annually on 40,000 corporate and nonprofit events and an estimated 20,000 full-time and part-time planners).
To assist BiZBash in entering the market, an advisory board is being established that includes Ann Stock, vice president of Institutional Affairs for the Kennedy Center; David Shackley, vice president of AOL brand marketing, promotions, and events; Kelley Gillespie, incoming president of International Special EventsSociety?s Washington, D.C., chapter and president of Gillespie Event Management; Gail Mutnick, director of meetings for AACC; Carolyn Peachey, president of Carolyn Peachey & Associates; Susan Davis, chairman of Susan Davis International; Mary Powers, president of the Convention Industry Council; Reggie Aggarwal, C.E.O. of CVENT; Kaye Willis, director of marketing for Baker Hostetler; Jamie Greenwald, vice president of Gala Events; David Hainline, president of Capital Services Inc., and Scott Widmeyer, chairman and C.E.O. of Widmeyer Communications.
With the addition of Washington, D.C., BiZBash will now serve five major metropolitan markets in North America including New York, Los Angeles/
