Tampa's elite were dazzled at the relaunch of the new Botanica International Design Studio on February 7. Guests gathered at the gallery-style design center's new downtown location to celebrate the move and the company's new focus: floral event designs.
Partygoers were given the royal treatment, beginning with a walk down a customized green carpet bearing Botanica's orchid logo. Upon entering the gallery, guests were greeted by owner Ian Prosser, who guided them on a welcoming tour of the various spaces and offices. Each room and office was given a different theme, from a Persian palace with a lively tarot card reader to a dreamy, winter-white retreat complete with wedding cake bites. Guests were taken aback by the ceiling installation Botanica created using large manzanita-like branches with floating votive candles and orchids. The attendees then made their way through the festively decorated kitchen to the courtyard area to find a tropical oasis featuring a local cigar roller. The outdoor-tented space came alive with the creative floral designs the company created, including submerged orchids, suspended orbs of various blooms, and curtains of rose petals. Additionally, models donning whimsical, floral-inspired costumes lounged on platforms and tables while guests enjoyed a variety of gourmet treats from Mise en Place.
