With more than a dozen years of experience under his belt—including lengthy stints with David Lovell Events and the Butler Did It—industry veteran Lary Willows has launched his own firm, a staffing company called Staff Your Event Inc. "I decided it was time to do things on my own," Willows said of the company, which provides servers, bartenders, and event supervisors for corporate functions and nonprofit parties. "I have one rule: Take care of the guests and give them whatever they need. I've always had that philosophy."
Willows launched the company, which has a roster of about 115 employees, in April. Since then, the firm has handled the staffing for more than 1,000 events, including a host of Toronto International Film Festival parties and the 14th annual Bloor Street Entertains benefit for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, held in November.
