1. The private womenโs club Verity, home to George Restaurant and Sweetgrass Spa, added four guest rooms in February 2009. Designed and decorated by Trianon Design Ltd., the lodgings are available to the public. Guests of the hotel can access the clubโs fitness centre, spa, and flower shop. The restaurant offers three private dining rooms that can accommodate as many as 120 for cocktails.
2. Hyatt Hotels & Resorts opened the 394-room Hyatt Regency Toronto in February 2009, following a multimillion-dollar makeover. Improvements include renovated guest rooms and a reconfigured lobby with guest check-in kiosks, a water-fire feature, and a wine bar dubbed the Mix Lounge. The revamped hotel also includes a new restaurant, King Street Social Kitchen/Bar, and more than 30,000 square feet of renovated meeting space.
3. The 224-room Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Downtown opened on Peter Street in February 2009. The hotel offers two meeting rooms. The 435-square-foot Adelaide Room can hold 50 theatre-style, 36 for banquets, and 45 for receptions. The 594-square-foot Eastonโs Room can hold 70 theatre-style and 60 for receptions. The hotel also has a restaurant, the Great American Grill, and a bar, the Pavilion Lounge.
