Perfume-Shaped Cakes Make for Memorable Gifts at Victoria's Secret Holiday Preview

With its pink packaging, recognizable models, and penchant for pretty florals and sparkly displays at events, Victoria's Secret is a brand with a strong, unabashedly girlie identity. Thursday's press preview for the brand's fashion and beauty holiday collections was no different, presenting new lingerie, clothing, makeup, and fragrances amid glitter, bow-covered stands, and shiny baubles in the Limited Brands New York office. And, as a creative way to leave a lasting impression with busy editors, the daytime open house gave out individual custom cakes made by famed baker Sylvia Weinstock.

Dreamed up by the Victoria's Secret Beauty team, each sweet treat was fashioned to look like Victoria's Secret's key holiday scent, Very Sexy Now, and came in a simple white box wrapped in pink ribbon. For the company, the edible souvenir, which was proffered alongside a bag of product samples as attendees left the event, was not only an opportunity to provide a playful reminder of the product, but also a brand-appropriate way to stand out from its competitors' holiday previews.
