Looking Back at a Busy Week

Expanding on the heavily choreographed shows from previous seasons, G-Star incorporated more theatrical movements, with models criss-crossing paths, walking at different paces, and stopping at different points on the runway to strike specific poses.

This week has been jammed with large-scale events, so here's a quick look back at some of the coverage you may have missed.

MTV kicked off the week with the 25th incarnation of the VMAs, which got a middling response from critics, but still managed to spark a swirl of after-parties and gift suites (although not as many as in years past). Our archive of VMA covarage is here.

In New York, Fashion Week proceeded with its usual array of shows, parties, and sponsorships. Our archive of Fashion Week coverage—including lots of photos and a report from the parties before and after the Fashion Rocks concert—is here.

Meanwhile, the Toronto International Film Festival marches on, with its own slew of premieres, parties, and gift lounges, including a barbecue for 1,000 people and In Style's crystal- and orchid-bedecked party Tuesday night. The TIFF archive is here.
