To grab the attention of prospective guests for a luncheon on Saturday, the Metropolitan Club and the Wedding Library sent out invitations etched onto miniature bottles of champagne. Created by sisters Susan Turnock and Heather Arak, owners of Gifts for the Good Life, the personalized pieces were hand-delivered to 75 wedding planners, designers, consultants, and editors in crates filled with straw. For a more personalized design, Turnock and Arak visited the Upper East Side venue and incorporated elements like the club's emblem and its grand entrance gates into the graphics.
