Movie Premieres Move Out

A small but well-covered part of New York's special event calendar has temporarily left the city in the wake of the World Trade Center attacks. Several film premieres have been cancelled or moved to the West Coast. “No Hollywood executives want to fly to New York,” a “screening planner” told the The New York Times' Boldface Names column, echoing what an event designer mentioned to us this week, too. The screening and elaborate party for Ben Stiller's Zoolander--which was supposed to fill Cipriani 42nd Street with runways and models a la Fashion Week on Monday--was moved to Los Angeles. And a dinner at the Four Seasons for Barry Levinson's Bandits was cancelled.
