New York-November 11, 2009-David Adler, C.E.O. and founder of BizBash Media, announced today that the New York and Los Angeles editions of BizBash magazine will be combined into one bicoastal issue. Published bimonthly, the new magazine will reach the largest group of event planning professionals in the two most dynamic and reciprocal U.S. event planning markets. - 30 -
Adler said, "Research indicates that more than 25 percent of our current readership in New York and Los Angeles plan events and meetings on both coasts. The combined issues will allow the editorial content to reflect trends and ideas from events on both coasts, while at the same time allowing advertisers such as hotels and venues to reach a much larger audience, whose members plan and travel in both markets."
The first combined issue will be mailed in early January, followed by five additional bimonthly issues for the remainder of the year. The expected circulation will be 35,000, including bonus circulation in Las Vegas and Orlando, the two largest meeting and convention cities in the United States.
Advertisers will benefit from the change by doubling their exposure to event and meeting planners at no additional cost. BizBash's readership in New York and Los Angeles constitutes 30 percent of total event spending in the U.S.
The first issue features a strong editorial lineup: New York's Top 100 Events; Private Rooms, a guide to restaurant spaces; lighting ideas to set the mood; what you need to know about event security; and an advertorial rental company directory, a must-have reference for planners.
Robert Fitzgerald, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said, "This is a positive change for our current clients and prospective advertisers, which significantly reduces the CPM to reach BizBash's audience of power event planners."
