As chief creative officer and co-founder of Obscura Digital, Travis Threlkel has turned the Sydney Opera House, New York's Guggenheim Museum, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi into surfaces for dynamic video projections. The use of such technology—referred to by various names, like video mapping, digital mapping, and 3-D projection mapping—has become a popular tool for marketers and is currently considered one of the most transformative devices available for experiential events.

At the Event Innovative Forum on October 24, Threlkel will talk about the projects he and his team have produced as well as explain what’s involved in bringing projection mapping to an event, what the range of costs is, and how to make sure it delivers the proper R.O.I.

Here's a look at Obscura Digital's past work, including efforts for Coca-Cola and YouTube.
