Champagne Problems: See Inside Veuve Clicquot's Winter Chalet

Boutique marketing agency Social Society tapped Las Vegas-based event design firm SKTCH Events to bring their client's vision of a Champagne-clad winter chalet to life. Here’s how it turned out.

EDGEWOOD, NEV.—In November, Nevada's Edgewood Tahoe Resort unveiled an Instagrammer's dream winter experience: overlooking Alpine Lake and snowy mountain ranges at an altitude of more than 6,200 feet. The immersive installation is dubbed The Champagne Chalet, and it's the brainchild of Los Angeles-based Social Society, Las Vegas's SKTCH Events and famed French Champagne brand Veuve Clicquot.

"The idea was to create a European-style chalet where Edgewood Resort guests could have an exclusive Champagne-tasting experience," said Emily Provansal, co-founder of Social Society. To bring its retro-chic-meets-luxury vision to life, the agency approached longtime fabrication partner SKTCH Events.

SKTCH Events founder Kellie Hanley explained that “the team made sure production was done within budget, ensuring the finishes were in line with the five-star resort and upscale Champagne brand. This meant attention to detail such as adding snow-show accents, outdoor lighting and contrasting paint colors."

Through March 28, the upscale cabin (available to guests of Edgewood Tahoe Resort) accommodates up to four people and has all the charm of a winter movie scene, including a custom bar, branded skis, snow jackets and faux-fur accents that all pay homage to Veuve Clicquot's signature yellow label. Here, guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of Veuve Cliquot’s Réserve Cuvée Champagne either while cozy indoors or bundled up around the outdoor firepit. Just don’t forget your walking shoes: The experience begins with a guided snowshoe walk through the property’s golf course and concluding at the 10th hole where the custom-built, intimate chalet is nestled.
