Red Bull hosted the Miami launch party for its global magazine, The Red Bulletin, on June 22 in the atrium of the New World Center. Event producer BeCore Promotions decorated the space with nine 5- by 7-foot reprints of articles from the June issue, each with a three-dimensional element to bring the magazine to life for the 450 guests. For the article about sneaker designer Mark Ong, organizers mounted five of his custom shoes to the front of the poster. Guests dined on appetizers from Thierry’s Catering, including curried chicken tartlets with shaved coconut and crushed peanuts, and serrano ham with melted Manchego on yucca chips. Entertainment included DJ Africa, DJ Irie, and Miami artist Lebo, who created a colorful painting during the event, while athletes such as N.F.L. start Reggie Bush and champion wakeboarder Dallas Friday mingled with guests. Organizers also demonstrated how to access the magazine's iPad app. The Red Bulletin is available at 20,000 retail locations nationwide and is a monthly insert in Sunday editions of The Miami Herald, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Houston Chronicle, and New York Daily News. BeCore produced similar launch parties in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
