To keep out the midsummer sunlight coming through Aspen's windows at Sony’s Holidays in July event, Sony’s in-house event design team, led by John Dolak, director of corporate communications, placed decorative foam boards picturing snowy landscapes in the windows. The darkened environment enabled the electronics company to properly display its flat-screen televisions in all their high-tech glory. The window covers also matched the venue's year-round ski-lodge-in-winter look, with Lucite deer heads mounted on the wall, and a central fireplace. Sony PR specialist Kirstie Pfeifer planned the event.
