Online fashion mag TDink's second annual "Fashion Walkoff" event last Thursday at the Cabana Club featured a potent symbol that greeted guests near the red carpet: a 12-foot-tall hanger sculpture by artist Alan Chin, valued at $35,000. The idea was that the 15,000 recycled hangers represented the disposability, excessiveness, and beauty of modern society—appropriate for a fashion show, some might say. The event featured the mag's designer of the year, DBLA Clothing, and benefited the breast-cancer support org Keep a Breast Foundation. Comedian-magician Justin Kredible and publicist Siri Garber hosted the evening.
