Gotham magazine's end-of-year celebration doubled as the official opening for the mammoth new Bowlmor Times Square. Held on Thursday, December 2, the packed party for the Niche Media publication brought about 1,300 guests—including hosts John Legend, Christine Teigen, and Brittny Gastineau—to the 90,000-square-foot facility for bowling, drinking, and nibbling.
Niche Media's director of event marketing, Joanna Tucker, started planning the affair back in June when the space was still under construction, and worked closely with Bowlmor's team to ensure the Midtown bowling alley would be ready in time for the event. To dress the site with holiday-appropriate decor, Tucker turned to interior designer Kenny Davis, who added a mica-dusted Christmas tree to the main floor and red and gold ornaments to the staircase.
Food was provided by chef David Burke, who, as the culinary director for Bowlmor, created the menu for the party and on-site restaurant Stadium Grill. Sponsor La Marca Prosecco supplied sparkling wine. As an added charity component, Gotham encouraged guests to bring a unwrapped toy to donate to the on-site holiday toy drive, which benefited the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
