Exploring the theme of transformation in a classic old-world New York space, the 2016 Tiffany & Company Blue Book gala saw the historic Italian neo-Renaissance Cunard Building in Lower Manhattan take guests on a dazzling journey of light—not unlike the path a diamond takes as it achieves brilliant radiance.

The April 15 affair welcomed some 300 guests, a combination of Tiffany’s top clients from around the world. Produced by Villa Eugenie, the black-tie dinner was set in a clear, neutral palette—the better to showcase the jewelry. The focal point of the evening was a series of more than three-dozen large silver spheres that hung throughout the dinner tables, reflecting everything in their paths and capturing the changing colors and light and the movement of dance performers and gala guests. The silver spheres were directly inspired by the bib necklace that actress Jessica Biel wore to the gala, adorned with more than 3,000 diamonds.

Cocktails accompanied by music from pianist Lee Musiker preceded the Bryce Shuman-prepared dinner. Entertainment featured Grammy-winning jazz musician Esperanza Spalding and Beyoncé’s choreographer, Luam Keflezgy, who devised a routine inspired by the event's theme of “The Art of Transformation.” DJ Kiss then spun music for the remainder of the evening.
