How a Pop-Up Flower Shop Boosted Gala Proceeds

At the Starlight Gala, attendees could purchase donated flower bouquets to help increase the benefit's take.

The Starlight Gala, which supports Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada, took place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on April 5. The event had a "London Calling" theme, replete with a My Fair Lady-inspired flower stall. Decor and floral company Mode Function donated bouquets of roses, mini roses, boxwood, and wax flowers. Attendees could purchase bouquets for donations of from $10 to $20. Flower sales helped boost the evening's overall take of $500,000.
